Naan Bread (GF)
Ingredients:
1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour (Cup4Cup recommended)
1 tbsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt (or to taste)
Water (enough to make a sticky batter)
Optional: 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter for brushing
Directions:
1. Mix the Dry Ingredients : In a medium bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt.
2. Add Water : Slowly pour in water while stirring until you reach a thick, sticky batter — similar to pancake batter consistency.
3. Cook the Naan : Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with oil or butter. Pour about ¼ cup of batter and spread into a small circle.
4. Flip and Brown : Cook for 1–2 minutes on each side until golden brown and slightly puffed.
5. Brush and Serve : Brush freshly cooked naan with olive oil or butter. Serve warm.
Pro Tip: For extra flavor, sprinkle with minced garlic or fresh herbs before flipping. Perfect alongside stew, soup, or as a gluten-free pizza base.
